FAQ's

FAQ's

How long does it take to finish an artwork?

The turnaround for a commission is 3-6 weeks depending on size and complexity.

Can I keep the quoted price until I'm ready?

Once a quote has been given by the artist, you have 30 days before it expires. If you wish to go ahead after the 30 day period, you will have to recontact the artist and get a new quote.

How do you know what I want?

To make sure there is a strong understanding of your desired work, please be as descriptive as possible and include as many details as possible that you believe are relevant. If you have specific images as reference please email them to info@charlottekerswill.com. Alternatively, if there is an artwork style you like that has previously been done by the artist, please make reference to this as well.

What happens next?

Once your commission request has been received, the artist will check through your descriptions and be in contact with you to confirm your ideas and give a more accurate quote. If you choose to accept the quote, a form will be sent for you to sign in agreement with the artist for the discussed works, followed by an invoice for 50% of the total price of the quote given (this does not include shipping). Once this is paid the artist will get to work on your custom piece!

How do I pay?

A 50% deposit is required at commission signing and payable by BACS. Remaining balance and shipping costs are due after the completion of the works and prior to shipment. Invoices and receipts will be sent at each necessary stage. Once the final payment has been received, your artwork will be shipped to you. To be sure of a precise quote, please fill out the request form above.

How do I know how much shipping will cost me?

Shipping costs vary based on the size of the artwork and destination. A rough guideline can be given upon enquiry. Please note; a quote upon the commissioned artwork itself is not inclusive of shipping.

What if I'm not happy with the final piece?

If you don't love the final piece, please tell the artist why so she can work on a few changes and make you fall in love it. If, however, you still don't like it and it differs too much from the commission agreement and no longer wish to receive it. The 50% remaining payment will not be taken, but the deposit will be kept for the artist's time and effort.
